About

We've been in the sheep business for over 40 years...

We have been showing and selling sheep since 1962. We are known breeders of "Heat-Sek-Her" and have sold to buyers across the state and throughout the northeast. Our farm is located on 60 acres of land in Russia, Ohio where we currently manage a flock of about 100 sheep, including 75 registered Shropshire sheep. We primarily breed and sell Shropshires, but also raise Hampshire and Montadale sheep. And, of course, there's always a border collie around.

It started with three sheep...

The three sheep were registered Shropshires imported from Cambridge, England by nationally known sheep breeder, Farrell Shultz. The rest is history.

After winning a national reserve champion ram...

In 1972 we began selling sheep. Since then, we have shown and sold sheep as far south as Springfield, Mississippi and as far north as Springfield, Massachusetts.

We believe in true breeding...

Our focus is on keeping the characteristics of the Shropshire breed within our flock. We currently manage 85 brood ewes, approximately 20 yearling ewes and four stud rams. We show and sell throughout the year at sheep sales and to private buyers across the country. Our latest success: champion ram at the 2014 Ohio State Fair was sired by a ram bred by us.
